Inc Group buys up The Elbow Room

THE Inc Group is reported to have snapped up chain bar The Elbow Room for an undisclosed figure bringing its number of sites now to 26, according to reports on caterersearch.

The Inc Group currently runs a variety of restaurants and pubs across the UK, and has a stake in the O2.

The company is owned by Frank Dowling, an American entrepreneur, and is currently enjoying a phase of growth, despite a multitude of warnings about the immediate future of the industry.

The Elbow Room, which opened its first site in London and his since expanded around the UK, turns over around £6 million annually.

It’s addition to the Inc Group is expected to take their turnover up to £30 million a year.
