The Puzzle Pub Company has sold its Acton pub The Difference to the owner of an Indian restaurant franchise.

The sale, through Davis Coffer Lyons, follows sales of six Puzzle pubs to Faucet Inn and two to Capital pubs - in Earlsfield and Hammersmith - at the end of last year.

Private investor Ashook Shrentha paid £1.05m for the High Street pub and it is believed the building will be given a substantial refit under his ownership.

Puzzle now only has one freehold pub in Taybridge, Battersea.

Paul Tallentyre, of DCL, said: “This has been a very complicated deal but persistence paid off in the end.”
