TripAdvisor is helping restaurants, pubs and hotels reach out to its 25million monthly users after launching a new ‘owner’s centre’ to increase their business’s presence on the review website.
Each business listed on TripAdvisor now has the chance to update their own page with images, videos and descriptions, to maximise their visual presence on the site. They can also now receive email alerts when a new review is listed, have the chance to respond to any review they wish and even display customer reviews on their own website.
Nathan Clapton, vice-president of partnerships for TripAdvisor, said the owner’s centre was designed to help businesses manage and market themselves in ‘today’s troubling economic times.’
“We give owners the tools to manage their online presence and engage the community just when the community is searching harder than ever for the most relevant information and the best values,” he said.
TripAdvisor claim that by installing a reviews panel onto their website, businesses can hope to increase their online traffic, after 77 per cent of companies that had implemented one, reported an 80 per cent increase.
The launch comes just weeks after TripAdvisor joined forces with Toptable.co.uk to improve the restaurant section of the website through an online bookings portal.
