Greenwich-based bar and restaurant company Inc Group is expanding its Trafalgar Tavern pub, one of the biggest purpose-built pubs in the UK, to include bedrooms.
Inc Group founder Frank Dowling said planning permission had been granted to add 15 bedrooms to the pub, marking the group’s move into accommodation.
Dowling also revealed plans to build a 100-room hotel in Greenwich. “We are looking to get planning permission this year and build it after the Olympics in 2012,” he said.
The Inc Group already operates eight pubs and restaurants in Greenwich and will also open its New York style brasserie Tompkins in Canary Wharf this month.
