Mother's Day Afternoon Tea

The Waldorf Hilton, which was built in 1908, has created a special package and afternoon tea for Mother’s Day. The 1908 Mother’s Day Package includes an overnight stay for two in a standard room, breakfast and an afternoon tea, and is available at the special rate of £190.80. The Waldorf’s 1908 Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea includes a selection of dishes popular in the early 1900’s, including aBakewell tartlet, lemon drizzle cake, a vanilla cupcake, chocolate macaroons, fruit cake, buttermilk scones with clotted cream and jam and a selection of traditional sandwiches. The 1908 Afternoon Tea will be available exclusively on 18th​ March 2012 at the price of £19.08. 

Mother's Day Set Menu

London wine and food destination Vinopolis has teamed up with gastropub Brew Wharf to create an exclusive set menu for Mother’s Day. Brew Wharf sources ingredients fresh from Borough Market each day, and the food will be prepared by Vinopolis’s in-house catering team Vinum. Guests can choose from a selection of dishes including Tian of Avocoado, Smoked Chicken and Avocado Oil, and the traditional Sunday Roast with all the trimmings. Desserts include Chocolate Brownie with Caramel Ice-cream. Every mum will then receive a goody bag containing rich chocolates and Vinopolis vouchers.Minimum bookings for this offer are for three persons.

St Patrick's Day Menu

Restaurant at the RIBA, located in the grand Florence Hall of London’s 66 Portland Place, has prepared a St Patric’s Day menu to toast the Irish this St Patrick’s Day. Available from 14-20 March, the RIBA’s three-course menu features starters including steamed mussels, apple cider and soda bread, and the leek and gubbeen tart served with celeriac puree and pickled walnuts. Mains include Guinness pie served with champ potato and baby carrot, and herb boxties served with cashel blue stuffed mushrooms and parsnip puree. Desserts include grasshopper pie with pistachio ice cream, and Irish coffee will also be on offer. The St Patrick’s Day menu is £19.50 for two courses and £23.50 for three courses.

St Patrick's Day Festival

The Chophouse Brasserie in London’s Merchant Square is opening its doors to diners wishing to take a ‘ringside’ seat for the St Patrick’s Festival Family Day Extravaganza taking place on Saturday, 17 March. The culmination of a week-long festival, the Family Day festivities feature a cornucopia of local bands, dancers, singers, musicians, bards and characters to contribute to a day of community celebration. The Chophouse Brasserie’s proprietor Julie Walters said: “With the main performance stage set directly across from our courtyard, diners will have a ringside seat at the live performances while enjoying our special St Patrick’s Day menu.”
