Graham Hall has left CAU for a new role at Ennismore

Graham Hall is leaving his role as managing director of CAU to head up the new restaurant division being created by Gleaneagles owner, Ennismore.

Hall spoke to BigHospitality's sister publication MCA Insight yesterday after the Gaucho Group unveiled a restructure of its senior team on the back of his departure.

It sees Gaucho managing director, Tracey Matthews, become chief operating officer for both brands, with current CAU operations director Richard Clark taking on Hall’s role and a replacement for Matthews being sought.

Hall told MCA he was proud of what he had achieved at CAU in the past three and a half years, saying: “During that time we grew the estate threefold and there’s a great pipeline lined up with Leamington Spa, Leeds and Southampton that will take it even further.

“It’s a great brand and a great team of people, who I feel privileged to have worked with, but this was the right time to move on to a new challenge.”

Hall’s new role, which begins in October, will see him develop brands for Ennismore, which currently operates Eggbreak in Notting Hill.

The company has secured another Covent Garden site – in Adelaide Street – for its Tandoor Chophouse concept.

Hall told MCA: “There are three more brands in the pipeline, including backing some street food purveyors into their first brick and mortar sites.”
