Farmstand opens in Covent Garden, London, on 26 January, aiming to bring ‘honest, healthy’ food to the capital.

The 30-cover restaurant’s name derives from US roadside stalls known as ‘farmstands’ which sell locally grown fruit, vegetables and other produce.

It will be open from breakfast until late seven days a week, with a menu consisting of internationally-influenced, UK-sourced, nutritionally balanced ‘Build Your Own’ and ‘Ready to Go’ options. Customers can opt to eat in or takeaway.

Ready to Go seasonal boxes are available for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast options include Four-Grain Porridge with Organic Oat Milk; Cocunut Yogurt topped with Seasonal Compote, Pumpkin Seeds and Cinnamon; and the Farmstand Breakfast Box which includes two free range eggs, raosted tomatoes and spinach. Lunchtime options will include one main with beef, chicken, fish and vegetarian options available, alongside two seasonal side dishes.

The Build Your Own option will be available from 12 noon onwards. It allows diners to create their own lunch or dinner box combinations with the choice of four main options, eight side dishes and two extras, taking the total number of combinations up to 18,432.

The ground floor interior of the restaurant provides ‘a warm, comfortable and aspirational environment’, with natural colours, varied textures and exposed brick walls are joined by a forest green banquette setting. The ‘greenhouse’ stairwell is filled with a variety of fresh plants and will lead customers down to the lower-ground floor and kitchen.
