Free oysters for 21 year olds

To celebrate its 21st birthday, the 42-strong Loch Fyne Restaurants is offering all 21-year-olds an invitation to enjoy a free oyster. Running for one week from Saturday 19 November, managing director Liz Williams aims to give young people the opportunity to try out the dish.​“Not many young people have tried oysters by the time they turn 21 and many assume they won’t like them,” said Williams. “As we share an important birthday, we’d like to personally introduce them to the delicacy; so that the first oyster they sample is one of the very best.”​Loch Fyne oysters are famous all over the world, with more than two million being harvested in its fresh waters every year. Free rooms for Mary & Joseph

To celebrate the upcoming festive period, budget hotel chain Travelodge is offering couples called Mary & Joseph and anyone called Jesus a free night’s stay at any one of its 480 UK hotels. The free rooms will be available from Christmas Eve until 6 January and a free parking space will also be provided. “The phrase no room at the inn is renowned within the hotel industry,” said Charlie Herbert, Travelodge’s trading director. “Therefore, this year we have decided to evoke the true spirit of Christmas and help ease the cost of the festive season; and invite couples called Mary and Joseph and for the first time anyone called Jesus as our guests.” To claim their free Travelodge night’s stay, Mary & Joseph and Jesus would need to register their details atPuevfgznf@genirybqtr.pb.hx​.

Great Night Giveaway

Budget hotel chain Premier Inn has launched the Great Night Giveaway, allowing guests to register for a free night’s stay when they stay at any Premier Inn hotel on three separate occasions. The Great Night Giveaway can be taken between Thursday and Monday with over 600 hotels to choose from. Mark Murphy, Business Marketing Manager for Premier Inn, said, “We want to reward our customers with a fantastic offer. ‘Retox’ menu

Babylon Restaurant at The Roof Gardens in London is celebrating the first month of 2012 with a new ‘retox’ menu in a bid to offer a quirky alternative to the detox diet. The set lunch menu offers an assortment of flavours and dishes. Starters include Roasted Monkfish, Sweet Potato and Garlic Soup and Black Pudding followed by a choice of mains including Oxtail with Root Vegetables, tantalising Fish Pie or Beetroot Tart Tatin. Babylon’s mixology team have also created special ‘retox’ cocktails including a Breakfast Martini with a side of toast, an Espresso Martini, a Honey Monster Cocktail and several variations to the classic Bloody Mary.
