HMRC webinar to help businesses make Olympics bids

HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) will be holding an online seminar to provide businesses with key tips on how to win Olympics contracts.

Caterers will be amongst those targeted by the webinar, which will cover issues such as securing financing, and how to go about preparing bids.

It is estimated that the Olympic and Paralympic Games will involve more than 50,000 contracts, worth about £6bn. These will cover a range of sectors and products for businesses at or near the 34 Games venues around the country.

Other issues that will be addressed include how to ensure that the right systems are in place to comply with procurement policies how customers can get support and guidance on any tax obligations and entitlements.

The HMRC webinar will take place on 27 July at 6pm, but will also be available for free download thereafter.
