Hospitality & Tourism Summit 2016: Low Pay Commission chair to discuss National Living Wage impact
Sir David Norgrove, chair of the Low Pay Commission, will talk about the impact the National Living Wage is having on the hospitality industry at this year's Hospitality & Tourism Summit.

Norgrove will also discuss how forthcoming pay increases in October and next April could affect the industry at the summit on 27 June at The Grange St Paul's Hotel in London.

The Hospitality & Tourism Summit, organised by the British Hospitality Association (BHA), is designed to provide a platform for inspiration, innovation and debate on topics pertinent to the UK's hospitality and tourism sectors.

Other topics on the agenda for the all-day event include the Europe In-Out debate; continued devolution; gaining competitive advantage in the global tourism marketplace; making the digital economy work for our industry; improving profits; and future trends.

Confirmed speakers for the event include Bourne Leisure managing director Dermot King, Terri Scriven, industry head of hospitality at Google UK, Heathrow Airport chief executive John Holland-Kaye and Manchester City Council chief executive Sir Howard Bernstein.

BHA chief executive Ufi Ibrahim said: “The Summit is the Davos of Hospitality & Tourism; connecting leaders of the UK Plc who are seeking solutions to the big issues affecting our industry. It provides an exclusive platform for inspiration, innovation and debate. It is our ambition to ensure the future success of our industry and a level playing field for tourism and hospitality businesses that operate in the UK."
