Within walking distance of the South terminal at London Gatwick Airport, the hotel also boasts three conference rooms, a fitness centre and a restaurant and bar over its four-floor layout.

Jeremy Jones, director of Corporate Hotels at Christie & Co, said: “This is an exciting opportunity to acquire a strongly-performing, internationally-branded hotel located in a fantastic position, so we are anticipating a great deal of interest.”

The long-leasehold interest (with 122 years unexpired) on the Courtyard London Gatwick Airport is available with the benefit of a franchise and related agreements with Marriott International.

InterContinental Westminster

Meanwhile, CBRE Hotels has announced the sale of the part-completed development of the InterContinental London Westminster hotel.

When complete, the hotel will boast 256 bedrooms including 43 suites, together with state-of-the-art meeting space, a restaurant, bar and atrium winter garden.

Paul Bartrop, director of CBRE Hotels EMEA, said: “The sale of this high profile hotel development now guarantees its future and destiny to become one of London’s best known 5 star hotels.

“Its location, together with the InterContinental brand's reputation for superior, understated service and outstanding facilities will quickly establish it as a favourite among Westminster locals and visitors alike.”

The property was purchased for an undisclosed figure by Mr Shiraz Boghani, one of the Partners responsible for initiating the project. The hotel is scheduled to open before the end of 2012 and will be the second InterContinental Hotel in London, alongside a property in Park Lane.
