Pull'd launches £350,000 crowdfunding campaign to open second restaurant

Pull’d – the slow cooked meat-to-go restaurant – has launched a crowdfunding campaign to launch its second London site.

The restaurant opened its first Cannon Street venue in September 2014, and last year raised over £100,000 to launch a juice bar and delivery option.

Now founder Sam Plumptre is crowdfunding an additional £350,000 to open a second restaurant outside of The City.

The former investment fund manager said he wanted to roll-out Pull’d across the capital and was considering venues in Farringdon, Clerkenwell, Old Street, London Bridge, Tower Hill and Canary Wharf.

“Our vision is to expand Pull’d to five to ten sites as soon as possible…we’ve never been this excited about this business as we are now,” Plumptre said in a video posted on Crowdcube.

“We have managed to make a unique combination of healthy and wholesome food that tastes delicious and is fully customisable.

“We are seeking investment to launch another site and really leverage the capacity of our 1000 sq.ft kitchen, which can easily support another two sites.”

Pull’d serves a selection of wraps and baguettes with customisable fillings, alongside soups, salads and drinks.

The restaurant sold more than 135,000 items to over 50,000 individual people during 2015.
