The Independent Hotel Show is the only event designed specifically for the luxury and boutique hotel industry.
This year’s show will be running at London Olympia’s West Hall from 21 to 22 October, a key event for independent hoteliers and professionals involved with the industry.

The Independent Hotel Show, sponsored this year by Towergate Insurance, is the only event designed specifically for the luxury and boutique hotel industry. Those attending will be able to talk with a number of chosen suppliers and listen to industry talks and seminars. In addition to this it also offers an important networking opportunity.

Managing director of SME London Ltd Tim Etchells said: “Just two years since its launch, The Independent Hotel Show has become the must-attend event for luxury and boutique hotels. Just like the industry itself though, the show will continue to innovate to ensure that it continues to bring the latest thinking, trends insight, products and services to today’s breed of driven hotel owners and operators. ”

At the event

This year’s show is retaining much of its old format, but also has a few new additions. These include design initiatives, a new award for youth excellence in the industry, an extension of the VIP package and changes to the business programme.

The Independent Hotel Show will offer a range of expert opinion and avice, with visitors being able to attend things like profitability seminars, trend reports and new product showcases. There will be more than 250 supplies on show from a range of categories including interior design, technology and software, audio and entertainment and health and wellness.

There will also be a number of free-to-attend Business Sessions run by leading hoteliers and well-known industry names. Those already confirmed include Robert Nadler of Nadler Hotels, Chris Penn of Ace Hotel London, James Lohan of Mr & Mrs Smith and Philip Newman-Hall of Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons.

The Hub

The Independent Hotel Show has also just announced this year’s format for ‘the Hub’, their networking space, which offers the opportunity to meet and talk with industry peers.

The space was designed by Nina&Co in collaboration with Anya Fennet, which won a competition by the Independent Hotel Show to decorate the space.

Nina Woodcroft from Nina&Co in association with Anya Fennet said: “Our focus for The Hub was to create an environment where individuals and businesses would be better able to improve their own problem solving processes and take innovation to a higher level. The basic shape of the Hub takes the familiar form of a house, offering an inviting and welcoming shelter from the bustling exhibition beyond.”
