Rezidor takes over two Brighton hotels

The hotel group, operator of the Radisson Blu, Regent and Park Inn brands, will take over the management of two Brighton hotels at the end of the month

The Rezidor Hotel Group, owner of the Radisson Blu, Regent and Park Inn brands, has announced plans to take over the management of two hotels in Brighton. 

At the end of the month, the 59-bedroom Royal York Hotel and the 84-bedroom Lansdowne Place hotel, owned by Max Hotels, will become a Radisson Blu and Park Inn respectively.

 

“These signings underline the importance of the UK market for our company”, said Rezidor president and chief executive Kurt Ritter. “Brighton is one the country’s favourite destinations; we are glad to be present there.”

 

The Royal York Hotel, situated 50 metres from Brighton`s seafront, was renovated in 2007 and includes a restaurant - Max`s Sea Grill - serving locally caught fish and seafood.

 

Lansdowne Place was fully renovated in 2004 and includes a spa and The Grill restaurant serving French style food.

 

David Glover, director of Max Hotels, said: "I’m tremendously excited to be working with Rezidor on these two hotels and I’m extremely confident that together we can create hotels that will become the leaders in the Brighton market."

 

Rezidor also operates the brands Country Inns & Suites and has signed a worldwide licence agreement with the Italian fashion house Missoni to develop and operate the lifestyle hotel brand Hotel Missoni.
