The group, which currently runs one aparthotel in Clerkenwell and two in Earls Court, will launch a 35,000 sq.ft site in Chancery Lane in late 2017.
It will feature 53 luxury apartments, a gym, two floors of office space, a housekeeping service and an on-site gastro pub.
The company has also purchased its first site outside London, a 26,000 sq.ft space at Queen Square, Brighton, to develop in to 65 apartments and a restaurant.
Supercity said Brighton was a ‘natural choice’ to begin its ‘ambitious’ plan to expand across the UK’s major cities.
“It has long been recognised that Brighton’s cosmopolitan corporate area is growing rapidly, yet currently only six serviced apartments are available in close proximity,” said Alexis Burton, managing director at Supercity Aparthotels.
“Supercity aim to fill the growing demand for serviced apartments in the area with our brand new development, which is set to open in 2018.”
The serviced apartment sector is one of the fastest growing areas of the hospitality industry. According to a study by Savills and the Association of Serviced Apartment Providers, almost a third of aparthotel operators are planning to expand in 2017.
