Zebrano Bars to open third London site

The company, which opened its first Zebrano on Ganton Street, off Carnaby Street in 2004, will open Zebrano in the City, a restaurant and bar across two floors at Duke's House on Houndsditch. 

Zebrano in the City's upper floor will feature a restaurant with a European and Asian-inspired menu prepared by the group's executive chef Chris MacCormick. Dishes will include Salt Baked Celeriac with Dorstone Goats Cheese, Cob Nuts, and Caramelised Pear; Venison Tartare with Heritage Beetroots, Confit Egg Yolk, Nasturtium and Rye and Braised Fillet of Brill with a Chorizo Crust, Fennel and King Oyster Mushrooms. The ground floor will be a late night lounge. 

The restaurant will also feature a private dining room and a Taittinger Champagne Chef's Table where eight people will be able to eat a seven-course tasting menu paired with a matching Taittinger Champagnes. 

Zebrano founders Cevat Riza who founded Seymour-Valentine Coffee and Don Cameron, former head of hospitality at JP Morgan said they had been looking to 'expand beyond the bar/lounge experience' to open a restaurant for some time. 

"After years of planning and hard work, Zebrano in the City will soon be the realisation of these dreams," they said. 

"Located on London’s iconic Houndsditch and providing the highest quality cuisine and service, Zebrano in the City is set to become a destination London venue."

Zebrano, which also operates a bar on Greek Street, also includes Pauline Crossman as a major shareholder. Crossman, a partner in an accountancy practice, joined the business in 2013 as finance director.
