Behind the scenes with Team UK at the World Pastry Cup
The UK team for the World Pastry Cup consisted of captain Javer Mercado, Le Cordon Bleu London; Nicolas Bouhelier, Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons; team president Martin Chiffers, formerly of The Savoy and Nicolas Belorgey, also from Le Cordon Bleu London.
France may have won the top prize in Lyon, followed by Japan and Italy, and the UK trio may have been disappointed with their placing, but the biennial contest helped showcase pastry chef talent from the UK and abroad, as this collection of images demonstrates.
