The Hot Talent Awards are designed to celebrate, nurture and reward young people working in any area of the industry who go above and beyond the expectations of their job title.
Winners will get the chance to be mentored by a handful of established members of the industry such as Roganic head chef Ben Spalding and front-of-house consultant Esher Williams.
Entrants can nominate themselves or a colleague to be in with the chance of winning. All entrants must be aged under 30 and work in the hospitality industry.
Ten successful finalists will be asked to submit a ‘talking heads’ style video from which the eventual winners will be picked and announced at Hotelympia’s Big Event on the evening of 27 February.
Spalding urged members of the industry to get involved: “It's a fantastic idea, and a definitive way to help keep the industry moving forward. I have entered several high profile competitions, they are really tough and a massive learning curve, you get so much back from them," he said.
