The awards, voted for by the dining public, recognise great food and good service at restaurants, pubs and cafés from around the UK.
Elizabeth Carter, consultant editor for The Good Food Guide, said: “The awards give members of the public a chance to shout about the places where they love to eat, and provide winning restaurants with the recognition they deserve - and hopefully give a boost to business as well.”
To take part in the awards, restaurants can encourage their diners to nominate them online, at www.thegoodfoodguide.co.uk/awards , or by making official postcards available in their restaurants during the nomination period of 13 February to 23 April 2012.
Ten regional winner will be announced at the end of May and the overall winner will be announced in late June. Last year's winner was Orwells at Shiplake in Oxfordshire
