The winners of the 2012 Business Travel Awards have been announced with Whitbread's budget hotel brand Premier Inn and hotel chain Jurys Inn both taking away prizes.

Premier Inn scooped the prize for Best Budget Hotel Brand at the ceremony held at JW Marriott's Grosvenor House hotel, London. Whitbread's budget brand won the award for the third year in a row beating Hampton by Hilton and Travelodge.

The awards, in their 17th year, present prizes to companies involved in business travel including hotels, rental companies and airports.

Corporate Social Responsibility

Whitbread also took home the accolade of Best Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Programme for Premier Inn. Patrick Dempsey, managing director for Whitbread Hotels and Restaurants said it was satisfying to be recognised for a year of hard work from the company.

We are absolutely delighted to win the Best Budget Hotel Brand’award for the third, consecutive year. And of course to win the Best CSR Programme award. Our teams work extremely hard to make sure all our guests have a good night guaranteed when staying at one of our hotels. As a company we are committed to being ‘a force for good’ – highlighted through our Good Together programme which benefits our teams and communities, customers and the environment," he said.
