Championed by chef Sophie Wright and endorsed by the Craft Guild of Chefs, City and Guilds, 3663 and cheese wholesaler the Cheese Cellar, the competition is designed to reward the innovation and creativity of trainee chefs who are in full or part-time education.

Susan Nash, trade communications manager at Kraft Foods UK, said: “Philadelphia offers great quality and versatility to the professional kitchen – it’s a must-have ingredient. It’s great to be able to celebrate young chefs once again after the success of our first competition, and we’re looking forward to seeing even more creativity from this year’s contenders."
