The World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2015, sponsored by S.Pellegrino & Acqua Panna, will return to London with a new summer date next year.

Now entering their 13th year, the awards will take place on 1 June 2015 at London’s historic Guildhall.

As always top international chefs and restaurateurs will gather for the ceremony, where the World’s 50 best Restaurants will be announced, culminating in the award for the S.Pellegrino World's Best Restaurant. Special awards including the Veuve Clicquot World's Best Female Chef and The Diners Club Lifetime Achievement Award will also be announced.

William Drew, group editor of The World’s 50 Best Restaurants, said: “In 2015, for the first time, The World’s 50 Best Restaurants awards event will move from its traditional date in April to take place in June.

“We are very pleased to be hosting this annual gathering of the world’s gastronomic elite at London’s historic Guildhall once again. After Noma’s dramatic return to the number one spot in 2014, we look forward to another year of exciting results and spirited celebration in 2015.”

Judging process

The World’s 50 Best Restaurants list is created from the votes of The Diners Club World’s 50 Best Restaurants Academy, a group of almost 1,000 international leaders in the restaurant industry.

The Academy covers 27 separate regions around the world, each of which has 36 members including a chairperson. Each member can cast seven votes, of which at least three must be for restaurants outside of their own region.

The results will be published online at www.theworlds50best.com as soon as they have been announced, with live updates via Twitter @theworld50best. The World’s 50 Best Restaurants Guide will be available for sale from 2 June.
