Le Cordon Bleu has announced it will be offering potential industry entrepreneurs a 12-month Professional Diploma in Culinary and Hospitality Management at its flagship London institute.
The world-renowned network of training centres will be welcoming its first intake of students onto the course in October when the programme launches at Le Cordon Bleu London in Bloomsbury.
The course, which includes modules on the economics of hospitality and management and creative principles, is aimed at individuals hoping to start up their own business and will showcase examples of successful operators around the world. Graduates of Le Cordon Bleu’s diplomas in Cuisine or Pâtisserie, or the Grand Diplôme, are also eligible for the course which will cost £14,500.
Students will be taught the secrets of good purchasing and stock control, how to be a strong manager and use the latest technology and where to start when designing a new menu. The course will also feature instruction in current food and wine trends.
Le Cordon Bleu, which was founded in Paris in 1895, now has more than 40 schools across the globe and trains around 20,000 students a year.
