Champagne Jacquart and Restaurant magazine are once more calling for entries to the 2011 Rising Stars Trophy competition to find the best young sommelier and chef teams in the UK.
Now in its fourth year, the competition tests the relationship between chefs and sommeliers through a series of food and wine matching tasks.
Entrants, all of whom must be aged between 18 and 35 by 1 December 2011 and already working in the hospitality industry, must complete an entry form and design a three-course menu paired with Jacquart Champagnes.
Following an initial paper judging round, eight teams will be invited to compete in a live cook off to be held at The Restaurant Show at Earls Court 2 on 10 October.
The winning team will be presented with a trip for four to Jacquart’s headquarters at the Hotel du Brimont in Reims.
