Zafferano to open festive pop-up restaurant at Natural History Museum Ice Rink

London-based caterer Zafferano has been awarded a contract to operate the catering offering at the Natural History Museum Ice Rink over the Christmas period.

The two-year deal, struck with IMG UK, will see Zafferano manage all food and drink choices outside the London museum’s ice rink from 4 Novermber to 8 January 2012.

Julian Saipe, managing director of Zafferano, said: “We are delighted to be working with IMG at such an iconic venue. We are looking forward to developing the café offering from previous years and catering for the wide range of visitors the ice rink attracts every year, from families to corporate events.

The two-story pup up will feature an Alpine Ski Resort menu, including hot chocolate with rum, authentic Bratwurst with mustard, soups and Belgian waffles. The café will be open to all visitors of the ice rink as well as being available to hire privately for Christmas parties and corporate events.

Zafferano, established in 2002, recently won the Caterer of the Year Award and is listed at other London venues including the Imperial War Museum and the National Portrait Gallery.
