Tellermate has launched a new cash-counting machine to the UK hospitality market, claiming the device helps to reduce staff theft

The Tellermate T-iX R4500 cash-counter

The Tellermate T-iX R4500 is a digital, networked cash-counter that enables head office staff to remotely monitor cash processes across multiple sites.

 

Claiming that the impact of the recession has led to an increase in dishonest staff taking advantage of opportunities to steal cash or stock, Tellermate believes the accurate and quick nature of its T-iX unit will help deter employee theft.

 

Dave Lunn, group sales director at Tellermate, said: “By matching a checkout Z reading to the Tellermate count information, a pool of data may be collected and analysed by back office systems. This also gives the option for real time exception reporting, alerting store or regional managers to count inaccuracies that need immediate attention.

 

“The other benefit is the time saved by managers and supervisors who monitor till reconciliations. Their time is now better spent on other important tasks.”
