Kent winery Chapel Down has launched a limited edition sparkling wine to mark the Royal Wedding celebrations next month.

Chapel Down sources its grapes from across the South East of England

Named The Union, the sparkling wine is a Pinot Noir Chardonnay (2006) with summer berry and caramel notes combined with aromas of baked apples, red fruit and honey.

Only 2011 bottles have been produced by the winery, based in Tenterden in Kent.

Frazer Thompson, chief executive of Chapel Down Wines, said: “This is a new release that we are incredibly proud of. It has great finesse, life affirming sparkle and impeccably understated good taste”.
