Catering equipment manufacturer Classeq has launched the new Eau de Vie water system and Ice-O-Matic ice machines for restaurants, hotels, pubs and bars.

Product details:

Classeq’s Eau de Vie filtered water system turns mains water into a profitable and eco-friendly alternative to bottled mineral water and ensures that customers are hydrated, refreshed and provided with fresh water.

It filters and chills the mains supply, taking out impurities to produce both still and sparkling water that can be dispensed into Eau de Vie branded bottles.

The units fall into three categories: table-top, free‐standing (to fit into existing counters or base units) and remote cassette (the unit is installed remote to the tap for total flexibility on installation). Like the Eau de Vie bottles, the system’s dispensers are attractive and look good front of house or behind the bar. There is a choice of sizes available, with capacities ranging from 25 to 100 litres per hour.

The Ice-O-Matic range includes the ICE Series cube ice machines, which make cube and half cube ice; flake ice machines and pearl ice machines, producing soft, chewable ice crystals. The ice is stored in a clean environment, preventing any bacteria from thriving.

USP:

Classeq’s Eau de Vie filtered water system allows users to bottle and brand their own water. The constant supply of water also eliminates the worry of stock depletion and any delays that occur with reordering.

The Ice-O-Matic GEM0655 pearl ice machine produces up to 325kg of clear, pure pearl ice per day. Pearl ice takes less energy to make than regular ice, so the GEM0655 is cheaper to run than comparative cube machines.

Cost:

While there is no specific RRP, the Eau de Vie table-top system is available at around £2050 plus VAT, while the Ice-O-Matic machine is on the market at around £1100 plus VAT.

The Eau de Vie systems are also available to rent.

Availability:

Both products are available now. Details of your nearest stockist can be found by calling 0844 225 9249 or going to www.classeq.co.uk

Extras /accessories:

The Eau de Vie system can be purchased with a number of accessories including a bottle wash rack, branded paper cups and additional filters.

The ice machine can be purchased with adjustable ice machine legs, replacement cartidges and a bin adaptor kit.

Why should you buy it?

Nick Burridge, sales director at Classeq, said: “The hot days of summer call for chilled, refreshing drinks and Eau de Vie and Ice-O-Matic solutions enable customers to cool off with great tasting ice and water. We pride ourselves on the fresh taste and reliability of our water and ice and our growing client list, including some of the UK’s top restaurants and hotels, is testament to this.

“Our drink solutions are invaluable in encouraging people to drink more water and keeping hydrated - there’s nothing worse than being served lukewarm water or unhygienic ice. 2012 is set to be an exciting summer and Classeq products will enable customers to sip their summer drinks in style.”

Other products on the market:

Vivreau, the water system manufacturer, has designed a mini version of its popular V3 Table Bottling Water System for smaller restaurant and bar operations.

Other commercial ice machines include the Polar Counter-Top Ice Maker and the Cater Ice Commercial Ice Maker.
