Country Range has launched a new collection of cake, bread and pastry mixes for busy caterers looking for healthier baking products

Each mix, which only requires the addition of water, is suitable for vegetarians and customers with nut allergies, contains no hydrogenated fats or artificial colours or preservatives, and meets the Food Standards Agency’s salt guidelines.


Martin Ward, brand manager for Country Range, said: “We wanted to create a baking range that gave busy caterers, everywhere from cafes to school dining halls, the option of making puddings, pastries and the like with the minimum of fuss, also delivering on taste and appearance with only wholesome ingredients and minimal salt.”


The range includes sponge mix (4x3.5kg and 1x12.5kg), reduced fat sponge mix (4x3.5kg), chocolate sponge mix (4x3.5kg), ginger sponge mix (4x3.5kg), crumble mix (4x3.5kg), scone mix (4x3.5kg and 1x12.5kg), white bread and roll mix (4x3.5kg), all purpose pastry mix (4x3.5kg), vegetable suet mix (4x3.5kg), and shortcrust pastry mix (4x3.5kg).
