Businesses which use the new ecostore range of cabinets will potentially be able to cut energy costs, according to Electrolux Professional, as the range uses 65 per cent less energy than standard cabinets according to independent studies of equivalent products on the market. The range also boasts 50litres more space than other cabinets.

Other high efficiency components that feature in the ecostore range include thicker insulated walls to reduce energy loss and use of R290 natural refrigerant gas to limit the greenhouse effect and to extend the product's lifetime.

Food preservation

A statement from the Sweden-based company, which has supplied foodservice and laundry equipment to the hospitality industry for more than 70 years, said the ecostore range had been created following research into the changing needs and expectations of kitchen professionals.

“The result is a new generation of cabinets that meet all the needs of the modern kitchen in offering a combination of innovation, reliability and sustainability. Ecostore is energy-efficient, has a big storage capacity and is sturdy. It also comes with a host of new features that guarantee excellent food preservation,” the statement said.

The ecostore range also features an air circulation system which adapts to the amount stored in the fridge to ensure a uniform temperature and to keep food preserved in any loading condition. Other features include touchscreen controls with pre-set levels of temperature or humidity to match the requirements of the food that is being stored.

The ecostore range is launched and will be available in March 2012 - www.electrolux-professional.com
