Electric fryers manufacturer FriFri has launched the FriFri Vortech, a new 97 per cent energy efficient gas fryer, offering what the company claims to be ‘an unprecedented fuel economy and green credentials.

Product details:

The FriFri Vortech fryers come in two varieties; one with built-in filtration to extend the life of cooking oil, the other without. They are the first ever gas products to be added to the range, and the first to be launched since FriFri production moved to sister company, Lincat, last summer.

Both new fryers are capable of cooking 88lbs/40kg of chips per hour from frozen, or 112lbs/51kg from chilled. Each features convenient electronic ignition and is designed to be easy to clean, with unobstructed access to the tank, removable batter plates and a wide bore drain pipe for quick and easy draining. Each is supplied with a two-year parts and labour warranty as standard.

USP:

Since the majority of commercial fryers achieve efficiency ratings in the region of 50 per cent and other ‘high-efficiency’ fryers achieve 80 per cent, the unique selling point of these FriFri Vortech is their fuel efficieny, which will dramatically reduce the gas consumption over the competition and thus pay for itself quickly.

The fryers also aim to offer maximum output from a minimum of floor space and extend the life of cooking oil. They are also rated highly for their robust construction and reliable operation.

Availability:

The Vortech range of fryers are available to all UK hospitality businesses now and can be purchased via any dealer with a Lincat account and ordered with the same Lincat discounts.

Cost:

The list price is £4461 without filtration and £5983 with filtration.

Why you should buy it:

John Shepherd, international brand manager for FriFri, said: “The Vortech’s 97 per cent rating has been independently verified by BSI tests and comfortably outperforms other fryers on the market.

“But the benefits are not restricted to fuel saving. The output of the new fryers is substantially higher than an equivalent, standard fryer, and the advanced temperature control system ensures that fried foods are cooked to perfection, every time.”
