Magnuson Worldwide has launched the CRS1, a new a low-cost global hotel reservation system designed to help hoteliers cut their reservation transaction costs by up to 90 per cent.

Product details:

CRS1 is a new lowest cost global hotel reservation system that enables hotels to make instant rate and availability changes to a complete global distribution of GDS channels such as Sabre, Amadeus, Worldspan, Apollo, Pegasus as well as make direct connections to Google Hotel Finder, Expedia, Booking.com, GlobalHotelExchange.com, Travelocity, Orbitz, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. It can integrate with a number of property management systems such as Micros, MSI, Infor by SoftBrands, Maestro, Agilysys, Inn Quest, RezStream, Rezovation, Lodgical Solutions, Innsoft, AutoClerk, Resort Data Processing, SoftHotel and RSI and claims to cut reservation transaction costs by up to 90 per cent.

USP:

"The technology we have used is current and state-of-the-art whereas more traditional reservation systems use older technology. This is much more responsive and cuts costs quicker," said Magnuson Worldwide chief executive Tom Magnuson.

Price:

The system offers flat fees of £2.50 per transaction. The CRS1 system offers a free hotel property management system, PMS1 and there are no monthly fees and no long-term contracts. Magnuson has also created an online calculator for hoteliers to predict how much they can save with the system.

Availability:

The product was officially launched at the Annual Hotel Conference yesterday and will be available as a limited launch in the UK. Visit www.magnusonworldwide.com/crs1 for more details.

Why you should buy it:

"We are in a fixed global economy, so we aren't able to increase profit by raising prices. The only way you can see a measurable increase in profit is by reducing CSR costs, which is why this can deliver profit," said Magnuson. "It gives hotel operators the ability to put control of rates back in their hands."
