Foodspeed now holds the Royal Warrant

A Royal Warrant is only granted to suppliers who have served the royal household for at least five years, who demonstrate high standards of quality in service and supply and have a workable and substantiated environmental policy.

Foodspeed, set up 10 years ago by brother and sister Bobby and Ruby Bawa with the aim of offering chefs competitively-priced dairy products with traceable provenance, will now be able to feature the royal coat of arms on its products along with the 'By Appointment' legend.

Foodspeed managing director Bobby Bawa said: “We are delighted and privileged to have been granted the Royal Warrant, it has always been our ethos to serve our clients with consistent, quality dairy products and the Warrant is recognition of that in the highest degree."

Green dairy supplier

The Royal Warrant’s strict stipulation for a workable environmental policy also affirms Foodspeed’s continued efforts to be the greenest dairy supplier for London and the Home Counties region. The company is already on the Sustainable Restaurant Association's supplier list.

Bawa added: "Our commitment to sourcing local and British produce has gone hand in hand with our efforts to be a more sustainable business and this has allowed us to supply chefs with ingredients that meet their expecting standards whilst always remaining competitive."
