St John Ambulance has launched a new first aid course tailor-made for the restaurant industry. The course will be available in London, but could be brought in outside London if successful.
There are around 15,000 non-reported accidents every year in the catering industry, according to the Heath and Safety Executive, which means that an average of 55 people are injured at work every day.The course will teach students about risk and incident management, hygiene, sprains and strains, burns, bleeding, choking and CPR.
It costs £95 per person + VAT.
