Pantheon unveils ceramic glass grills
Catering equipment manufacturer Pantheon has introduced range of four ceramic contact grills for chefs looking to save energy and time.

Product details:

Pantheon’s CCG Ceramic Contact Grills can be used to heat paninis and sandwiches, or cook vegetables, meat and fish.

Both single and double options are available, with a choice of smooth or ribbed tops. All models are covered by Pantheon’s comprehensive one year guarantee.

USP:

What really makes these grills stand out is the use of ceramic glass. Unlike cast iron, which is more widely used in grills, glass is not porous so it will not absorb or transfer flavours. It also eliminates the smoke and smells associated with cast iron cooking. Because heat transference through glass is instant, heating times are reduced and the grills are ready to use as soon as the elements are hot.

Price:

List prices start at just £719.00 for the single, smooth top model.

Availability:

Available directly through Pantheon Catering Equipment. Phone 0800 046 1570 or visit www.pantheonce.co.uk for more information.

Why you should buy it:

Pantheon says the grills can save chefs time and money because they reduce cooking times and energy use. It argues that the reduction in smoke and smells compared to traditional cast iron grills makes for ‘a much more pleasant ambience’ and means they can be used front-of-house without any worries.

“A further, important, advantage is that food doesn’t stick and surfaces can simply be wiped down between use,” said a spokesperson.

“Pantheon’s ceramic contact grills are perfect for paninis and sandwiches but are also ideal for cooking vegetables, meat and fish.”
