Perfect for pubs, fast food outlets and cafés, the new pies come in a range of traditional flavours including Steak, Steak & Kidney, Minced Beef & Onion, Chicken & Mushroom and Meat & Potato. They are wrapped in a heat-proof film to produce crunchier pastry.

“Pies are the perfect comfort food as the nights draw in, the weather turns chilly and the economic outlook continues gloomy,” said Neil Court-Johnston, director of Peter’s Food Service. “That’s why the pie market’s worth £1bn per year to the UK economy. But to make sure they grab their share of the market, foodservice operators must offer great tasting products and unbeatable value for money. Our new range, backed by aggressive marketing and attractive POS material, will help them to do just that.”

The business operates daily deliveries in multi-temperature vehicles from 10 distribution centres nationwide. This means that pies ordered one day can be delivered the next, with no minimum order required. Peter’s Food Service can also supply a wider range of over 900 separate food product lines on the same no-minimum-order, next-day-delivery basis.

The new pies are also raising money for a good cause – the Noah’s Ark Appeal which supports the Children’s Hospital for Wales, in Cardiff. As such they’ve already received endorsements from appeal patrons Dame Shirley Bassey and Max Boyce.

Peter’s Food Service produces over 3 million pastries every week and has more than 50 years’ experience in supplying pubs, fast food outlets, fish bars, restaurants, cafes, independent retailers, schools, hospitals and hotels. For more information, visit www.petersfood.co.uk.
