Pimhill Farm in Shropshire has launched a muesli which leaves out wheat or nuts, allowing hotels, restaurants and pubs to give customers with allergies or intolerances a wider choice at breakfast.

Product details:

Pimhill No Added Wheat or Nuts Muesli is a combination of oats, dried apricots and figs, seeds, barley and rye. It is the Shrophire-based farm's first wheat and nut-free muesli and is designed to appeal to the growing number of people with intolerances or food allergies. It contains no added salt, sugar or lactose.

USP:

Pimhill Farm in Shropshire was the first producer in the UK to create an organic muesli and for more than 60 years the Mayall family at Pimhill have been working to sow, grow, harvest, mill, mix and then hand pack their collection of organic products. This latest in the line comes with the producer's experience in making muesli but is adapted for changing dining needs.

Cost:

850g pack size has an RRP of £4.75. 5kg sacks are available to the trade for £24.50.

Availability:

From the Pimhill website www.pimhill.co.uk

Why you should buy it:

Ginny Mayall, farmer and miller at Pimhill, said the muesli had come about through demand from customers for a muesli that did not contain wheat or nuts. "We are pleased to be able to fulfil their needs now and to extend our range of products. With added juicy fruits, combined with soft oats and crunchy seeds it really is delicious," she added.
