The V.I.Pizzas, which will be available in four varieties, a meat, vegetarian, fish and light option, will be available at all 145 Prezzo restaurants in the UK.

Zilli, who devised the range alongside Prezzo executive chef Paul Lewis, has also created a Zilli North and South pizza, which is half meat and half vegetarian.

Jonathan Kaye, chief executive of Prezzo, said: “I think Aldo is an ideal fit for the Prezzo brand. He is the UK’s most renowned Italian chef with an eye for authenticity and quality. The pizzas he has developed for our menu pass his personal taste test, so they must be good.”

Celebrity chef collaboration

The collaboration with a celebrity chef is a first for Prezzo, whose rival Pizza Express has already partnered with Intercontinental Park Lane chef Theo Randall and L’Anima chef Francesco Mazzei in the past.

Zilli, who also operates Zilli Fish and Zilli Green in Soho, London, was approached by the group to create a special range after scoring Prezzo’s pizzas 9/10 in a national press taste test.

The V.I.Pizzas are priced between £10.95 and £11.95, and are available at restaurants nationwide now.
