After being spotted by Callebaut when he was just 15, Barnett took part in various training courses at the company's chocolate academy in Banbury and will now join other leading pastry chefs and chocolatiers representing the brands in over 40 countries worldwide. He will share his experiences through trainings and talks.
Philippe Janvier, vice-president of Barry Callebaut said: “He has been recruited because of his youth, energy business success and his ability to reach out to inspire and encourage young professionals, at colleges, schools and in their first positions, to embrace innovation and to build their chocolate skills."
Barnett founded his company in 2004 and became the youngest supplier to supermarkets Waitrose and Sainsbury's before going on to win numerous awards, attend conferences and events in the chocolate industry.
