Guoman appoints a new general manager for The Royal Horseguards, while Galvin Bistrot de Luxe also appoints a new general manager
Guoman Hotels has appointed a new general manager for The Royal Horseguards hotel in Whitehall to start in September.
Anna-Marie Dowling joins the Guoman group from Grand Jersey Hotel & Spa where she held the position of managing director. She also holds experience working with Le Meridien Piccadilly Hotel & Café Royal Conference Centre and London’s Marriott County Hall.
Heiko Figge, managing director, Guoman & Thistle Hotels, said: “Anna-Marie’s renowned expertise, drive, passion and attention to detail within this high-end sector of the industry will have a considerable impact on the future development of The Royal Horseguards and mark out the hotel’s clear placement within London’s five-star marketplace.”
Dowling will work towards strengthening the 281-bedroom hotel’s position as a leading five-star hotel in London.
Galvin Bistrot de Luxe
Meanwhile, Galvin Bistrot de Luxe has also appointed a general manager with over 25 years experience working in the industry.
Jason McAuliffe joins the Baker Street restaurant from The Grill Room at The Dorchester, where he spent five years as head sommelier. Previously he spent ten years at the Michelin-starred Chez Bruce.
