Harbour Hotels has appointed new general manager to oversee the opening of its latest property, the Salcombe Harbour Hotel.

Jason Parry joins Salcombe, previously known as The Marine Hotel, with senior management experience from the Grand Hotel, the Imperial Hotel and the Grosvenor Hotel in Torquay. He is also a member of the Academy of Food and Wine Service, the Institute of Hospitality and the British Institute of Innkeepers.

Parry will be responsible for appointing team members ready for the hotel’s opening on 29 March, as well as attracting new and regular visitors to the hotel in the future.

Plaza on the River

Meanwhile, Park Plaza Hotels and Resorts has appointed a new hotel manager to look after its luxury residence hotel, Plaza on the River.

Pascale Fioretti joins the hotel with over six years experience in the hospitality industry, gleaned from working in a range of positions at Park Plaza Riverbank Hotel, Chelsea Football Club, and Park Inn Heathrow.

Greg Hegarty, general manager of Plaza on the River, said: “The Hotel Manager’s role is to extol the hotel’s unique virtues, both in the UK and overseas, in a bid to increase room occupancy as well as boost covers in the bar and the hotel’s award-winning restaurant, Chino Latino.”
