Lainston House Hotel in Winchester, and Arden Hotel in Stratford-upon-Avon have both appointed a new general manager

Exclusive Hotels has appointed a new general manager for its Winchester property, Lainston House Hotel.

 

David Connell joins Lainston House after spending eight years at sister property Pennyhill Park Hotel & Spa, where he recently held the position of deputy general manager.

 

Connell, who will now be responsible for overseeing the day to day operation of the hotel, said: “After eight years working with Exclusive Hotels, I have reached a turning point in my career. Becoming General Manager of Lainston House is my highest achievement to date and I couldn't be happier. Working my way up the ranks has helped me to understand every sector within a hotel and that each role is important in ensuring a motivated staff and happy guests.”

Arden Hotel appointment

 

Meanwhile, the Eden Hotel Collection has appointed a new general manager for the recently refurbished Arden Hotel in Stratford-upon-Avon, which is due to reopen in July.

 

Jason Adams joins the 45-bedroom hotel from the Atlantic Hotel and Ocean Restaurant in Jersey, bringing with him experience working at The Royal Crescent Hotel in Bath, Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons, and Seaham Hall Hotel.

 

Adams will now work alongside Michelin-starred group executive chef Simon Haigh in establishing Arden’s new Waterside Brasserie.
