Chosen from three main categories – Modern British and European, Asian/ Oriental and The Rest of the World, the chefs through to the final have been described as raising the bar for the now annual competition.
The semi-final heats for the 2011 National Chef of the Year competition took place earlier this month in London and Sheffield, where 40 entrants were whittled down to just eight.
BigHospitality followed the chefs as they created a three-course menu, featuring Gressingham duck and bananas as key components, to find out what visitors to The Restaurant Show on 11 October can expect to experience from the final.
