From a husband-and-wife team-up at Marcus at The Berkeley, to a new general manager at Ten Trinity Square, we round up some of the biggest career moves in hospitality this month.
Mark and Shauna-200

Markand Shauna Froydenlund​ have been appointed as joint chef patrons at the Marcus at The Berkeley hotel restaurant in London, by the Marcus Wareing Restaurants group. The duo has cooked at the two-Michelin-starred restaurant for over ten years, and will now work in partnership with Wareing.

Nigel Stowe​ is now general manager at the soon-to-open private members’ club Ten Trinity Square in London. Stowe was previously club director at the Hotel Café Royal, and has also worked as general manager for The Club at The Ivy.

Devonshire Hotels & Restaurants Group (DHRG) has announced the appointment of a new managing director, Richard Palmer​. He succeeds Simon Rhatigan, who has left the company. Palmer will oversee the management of the group’s hotels and restaurants in Yorkshire and Derbyshire.

   

Kate-Gamble-200

Malmaison and Hotel du Vin has appointed Kate Gamble​ as head of learning and development. She has over 25 years’ experience in training and development in hospitality, and was most recently as a national account manager at Hospitality Industry Training (HIT).

 

 

 

Jason Everett-200

Jason Everett​ is now executive head chef at the Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill at Cadbury House in North Somerset. He previously helped Pierre White attain two of his three stars at the Harveys restaurant in London, before going on to open his own restaurant, The Goat House in Brent Knoll, Somerset.

David Grosfils​ has recently been appointed head of the 28-property hotel group Hallmark Hotels. He was recently chief operating officer at hotel company GLH, and will now focus on guest experience and operations across the portfolio.

Jason Porter​ has become head chef at Sadler’s Brasserie in Wells. Originally from Wells, he was previously head chef of the New Inn, in Cerne Abbas, Dorset. His career also includes luxury London hotel The Connaught, Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen London, The Ledbury with Brett Graham, and The Grove.

Daniel Perks​ is now general manager at Soughton Hall in Flintshire, which calls itself the ‘Downton Abbey’ of Wales, and was bought by Elle R Leisure one year ago. Perks joins after a long career in hospitality including The Glebe Hotel in Warwick, The Park hotel in Aintree, the Macdonald Hotels and Resorts group, Craxton Wood near Chester, and the Ramada in Wrexham.

Pubco the Ei Group has recruited Jon Dale​ as head of corporate communication and Paul Farr​ as head of food. The newly created roles will help the company with the ongoing implementation of its five year plan.

Dale has a background in journalism and communications, including at Sainsbury’s, while Farr has held similar positions at Spirit Pub Company, Genting Casinos, and Wyevale Garden Centres.
