Restaurant Associates, the restaurant management division of Compass Group, has appointed a new managing director to replace outgoing boss Andy Harris.

James Boyle, who was previously business excellence director for Restaurant Associates, will be tasked with taking the business into the next phase of its development.

Boyle has over 20 years experience in the hospitality sector, and worked for Sodexo before joining Restaurant Associates as operations manager in 2006.

Harris, who launched Restaurant Associate’s reception services brand Rapport and events brand Radish​ and developed projects with chefs Jason Atherton​ and Anthony Demetre​ during his three year stint as managing director, is joining Compass Group’s Group Market Development team, where he will work on a number of business and innovation projects.

Restaurant Associates operates a number of restaurants in collaboration with high profile chefs including Jason Atherton’s City Social at Tower 42 and Michel Roux Jr’s Roux at Parliament Square.

The company also works closely with Albert Roux, who helps oversee and develop the menus for its fine dining service.
