Roux Scholarship 2012: deadline extended

The deadline for entries into the 2012 Roux Scholarship has been extended by four days to Friday 3 February.

Chefs have an extra four days to enter the Roux Scholarship 2012

Chefs have until 12pm that day to enter with a recipe to serve four people using a set list of ingredients, including spring chicken, veal heart sweetbreads and cauliflower.

Judges, who include Michel Roux Jr, will be looking for a well thought-out and accurately costed recipe as well as a clear description of a candidate's work method.

Previous winners of the title and the prize, which includes a three-month stage in a three Michelin-starred restaurant include Simon Hulstone, Sat Bains and Mark Birchall of l'Enclume.
