Two Additions to KNORR 100% Soup Range

Unilever Foodsolutions introduces Country Chicken & Vegetable and Lentil and Bacon flavours.

UNILEVER Foodsolutions has launched two new traditional flavours into its popular KNORR 100% Soup range.

The new Country Chicken & Vegetable and Lentil & Bacon varieties have been introduced to help operators satisfy consumer demands for greater choice and traditional soup flavours.

 

Laurence Smith, category marketing director, Unilever Foodsolutions, said: “Operators that take soup off the menu are missing out on the huge profit potential that the dish offers.

 

 

"Research shows that consumers want good quality, traditional flavours and by updating the KNORR 100% Soup range with popular varieties we believe that we can help chefs get more from soup.

 

"The ready-to-serve KNORR 100% Soup range allows caterers to offer consumers a wider choice whilst still satisfying the more traditional palate.”

 

The launch of the Country Chicken & Vegetable and Lentil & Bacon flavours coincides with a new KNORR 100% Soup ‘Bursting with Vegetables!’ promotion.

 

Operators simply need to purchase 10 cases of KNORR 100% Soup to receive a free branded soup kettle and front of house POS kit, which includes all the tools they need to run their own ‘Bursting with Vegetables’ consumer loyalty promotion in their unit: posters, tent cards, loyalty cards, ink stamp and collection box

 

Consumers will receive a stamp on their loyalty card with each bowl of KNORR 100% Soup purchased. Once five stamps have been collected they can enter their loyalty card into a prize draw box at a participating outlets.

 

They will then be entered in a national prize draw where 20 winners will each receive a month’s supply of fresh organic vegetables delivered to their home. Operators who submit over 20 completed consumer entries will gain an opportunity to win £125 worth of fresh fruit & vegetables for their business.

 

Laurence Smith added: “The secret to maximising the soup section on the menu is to keep it fresh and different.

The KNORR 100% Soup range consists of premium-textured, ambient soups available in 15 mouth-watering flavours including traditional classics and more contemporary favourites.

 

It provides caterers with a quick and easy method of offering customers hearty soup choices, with all the taste and appeal of homemade style recipes - simply heat through and serve.

 

Available in convenient 2.5 litre pouches (a case of four pouches provides 40 x 250ml servings), the pouches are easily stored in a cupboard with no need for chilling and have a shelf life of nine months.
