VIDEO: Great British Menu 2010

The fifth series of the Great British Menu has begun with 24 chefs from eight UK regions battling it out for the chance to cook at a banquet hosted by HRH the Prince of Wales

This year’s competition, which started last night on BBC Two , sees Tony Singh of Oloroso fight against Alan Murchison of l’Ortolan and Paris House, and Michael Smith of Three Chimneys in the Scotland heats this week.

Later on in the series, Tristan Welch of Launceston Place, Tom Kerridge of The Hand & Flowers and Anthony Demetre of Arbutus and Wild Honey will battle for pride of place in the London heats.
