The Vegetarian Society’s 2010 Chef of the Future competition is now open for entries, and is inviting chefs to submit a meat-free three-course menu for the chance to win a Cordon Vert Diploma scholarship.

Won last year by joint winners Eddie Shepard and Barry Tonkinson, the competition is open to both meat-eaters and vegetarians alike, and will culminate in a live cook-off final at the Vegetarian Society headquarters in Cheshire on 27 May.

Entry forms are available from www.nationalvegetarianweek.org , and must be submitted by 23 April.
