With deadlines for both competitions closing in May, the contests are open to chefs under 27 or sommeliers under 35. All entrants must currently be working in Chaîne des Rôtisseurs’ affiliated establishments across Great Britain. Alternatively sommeliers can enter if they are sponsored by a member of the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs.

The winner of the chef competition will be going on to compete in the International Finals being held in Berlin in September, while the top sommelier will qualify to compete in the international competition in the same month in Cape Town.

Competing chefs will be assessed at a regional level before the most impressive contestants cook in the National Finals. Meanwhile sommeliers will need to pass initial paper judging before the best head to the National Finals.

The Chaîne des Rôtisseurs is an international gastronomic society founded in Paris in 1950 but with a history and tradition that can be dated back to as far as 1248.
